Eek!

Gosh! Can’t believe I’ve been back in Malaysian soil for nearly 2 months now. I realised that I haven’t been blogging at all. In fact, I didn’t even have the time to go blog hopping! Feels like I’ve just disappeared from the world wide web since I touched down in Penang.

For those in the dark (not that many people visits this page anyway), I’ve been recruited to work for Uncle Andrew a week after I got back. Yep, with insufficient rest and while still suffering from jetlag and with my body and mind still weary from the rush of coming back, helping out with Uncle Edwin’s wedding and what nots, I started work as an administrative assistant on the 9th of July. Hence, my disappearance for so long!

Life’s been quite hectic for me since I got back. Day in, day out, including weekends, I keep finding myself on the go. Because of my non-existent transport, I had to rely on others to get to and from work. Which sucks real bad cause I hate relying on people to get me around. One particular uncle had been indirectly telling me to take the public transport to and from work. Before I continued, let me just make things clear. I have no problems taking public transport at all if it’s reliable and there’s a few buses within an hour that uses the same route. In fact, I relied a lot on public transport to get myself around in Perth. But the public transport in Penang? Or anywhere in Malaysia? Call it prejudice or stereotyping but from my high school days up to now, I just do not have faith in the public transport system in Malaysia at all. Sure, I had to rely on it to get myself home from school everyday for the last 2 years of my high school years but it doesn’t mean that the public transport was reliable. I had no choice then but to take the bus home everyday after school, rain or shine. But that’s another story for another day. My point here is that I never had much faith in taking public transport here. Especially when I had to take 2 buses to get to and from work every day from Mon-Fri. So at the end of the day, I’m always the first to arrive in the office and one of the last to leave. And this situation had been going on nearly everyday since I started work.

Frankly, I’m feeling a little burned out right now. Sleeping late and getting up super early has left me feeling very very weary. At this point, I think my body’s sending subtle signals to me telling me that I’m no longer a teenager. LoL. I’m not that old mind you, still in my 20s. But shucks, it’s no fun knowing that I’ll be officially in my mid 20s in 11 months and 2 weeks’ time! The body might be aging but I still don’t feel or act my age. Well, at least that’s how I feel. I’m such a big kid at times! And to think that some of my mates my age have already gotten themselves hitched and are planning to start their own family soon!! *shudders*

Don’t get me wrong. I adore children. I just can’t see myself getting hitch and starting a family of my own anytime soon. LoL. In fact, if I’m even remotely desperate for a hubby and a family, I can’t launch that idea at all because I’m currently single! And enjoying every minute of it! :P

Anyways, I’m only gonna work for Uncle Andrew til the end of this month. After that, it’s just pure R&R til I get a job permanently. I needed it and to the hell with it all, I deserved it. That said, it’s back to work for me now. =.=
